I was first introduced to your work by a friend who sent me a Youtube video of you performing “Pole Dancer.” It was fantastic, and I’ve been a fan of your work ever since.



Your work has a lot of emotional impact because of the way you speak, like all the emotions, images, and memories are rushing to the surface in the telling of the poem. How did you come to decide on your pacing while reciting poetry?

Your storytelling ranges from one panel comics to now a full children's book. What are some of the differences in how you approach storytelling and humor across different lengths and forms?
