7-11 Store Manager here, this is the correct response. Just give up the damn money, it is company policy. Whether or not you think the gun is real, just give up the money. Losing $100 isn't going to hurt 7-11. (or you boss if the store is Franchised). Im going to get downvoted to hell for this, but if you were an employee of mine, OP would have been fired for not following company policy of complying with the robber.

What is your opinion of your generation, the baby boomers? They are often blamed for a lot of the problems, and are seen as an incredibly selfish generation. I think this is true for most baby boomers (not all obviously). Just wondering your opinion on the subject. Thank you for doing the AMA. Your book Aftershock was great!

Thank's for answering my question. It's always great to hear your views on different topics. I plan on reading Beyond Outrage once I finish reading a book on economics my boss wants me to read.
