The Doolittle raid was special, somehow. You gentlemen stuck together afterward in ways that other raiding groups didn't -- you had reunions, you kept track of each other. I used to spend time at the US Air Force Academy and regularly saw the Doolittle goblets, 80 silver goblets, each engraved with a participant's name. That always struck me.

Do you think that it helped you and your colleagues to have those reunions and to maintain those bonds, to recognize the passing of others over time? Can you talk a little about the goblets, the waiting bottle of cognac, and the ceremony of it all? Thanks.

Thanks! Bester was an amazing character, and I've read that you came up with his "frozen hand" mannerism as a part of his back story, to hint at how tough he really was. That's just... Lovely. Did you use it as a mnemonic for yourself ("this is who Bester is" as you got into character at the beginning of a scene) or mostly as a cue for the audience?

Oh, goodness! I just really want to have tea with you and listen to stories! It's not often that I speak with a cyborg with such a fascinating history!

I'm fascinated by the Bletchley stories. Were you a code breaker there, or in a different sort of WAAF role? There's a bunch of fiction around the Bletchley days -- do you think it's all bunk, or is there any of it that catches something of the right spirit?

Was it hard to readjust post-war to a non military role? Do you think your time in the WAAF led to the turn to the nunnery? I can imagine some similarities there. Were you in a contemplative order, or serving the community or .... I'm not even sure.

I'm frankly honored to have you dropping in on us here at reddit. :) Thanks for stopping by. I'd offer you a scone if I could, but my baking would put me to shame.

Hey, Kumail! I've enjoyed you on Silicon Valley and @Midnight and Key & Peele, but I mostly know you as this guy that my friend Roger M. from Chicago claims to know. :) Whether or not he knows you, Roger's your very effective unofficial publicist -- I heard about you (and Emily) from him first and started paying attention.

So, what's your grand master plan? If you could wave your wand and be in the middle of your best project ever, what would that be?

I know my share of computer and nerdy types -- by being the person who pushed them into physical activity, you were taking your life into your hands! I can only imagine the griping! Were you Scary Gerry?

I got to visit Bletchley a few years ago. Lovely grounds, lovely countryside, rather set apart from everything else, even at this late date. I can only imagine what it was like in 1940!
