We have a broad variety of good vegetarian food, yes, and ghee and other milk products are also used frequently. Google "largest producer of milk in the world".

For that matter, we're not even majority vegetarians. Only some 30% of our people are. It's just that the average Indian does not consume meat at the frequency or quantity as in the West.
