I think it's even more telling that their immediate reactions were to deflect the attention from their wrong-doing to any and every POTENTIALLY damning piece of character evidence they can drudge up against the leaker/whistleblower. What does Snowden's girlfriend and her YouTube posts have to do with the lies our government is perpetuating? Absolutely nothing, yet that seems to be, without fail, their go-to reaction.
I think it's even more disturbing that regarding the Snowden leaks no one has denied the existence of these programs or capabilities, just the context of and extent to which these programs are being used.

The scenes in Somalia had me terrified for you and your crew, but I think it made the message THAT much more powerful when combined with you and Rick dodging bullets and ducking behind sandbags

I 100% agree about the Orwellian nature of the statement in general. To potentially piggy-back two questions off of that answer (in hopes that you'll answer): What do you feel prompted the admission in the first place? And do you think that a proper/honest answer and explanation for Abdulrahman's assassination will ever be provided?

First of all I would just love to say: Dirty Wars was a phenomenal and moving film. Thank you for bringing something like that to the public arena (props to anyone involved with the film, but especially you and Rick Rowley).
Second, I'm curious as to your genuine thoughts/reactions on the recent admission by the US Gov't that Awlaki (Father and Son) as well as two others were victims of drone strikes, but "not specifically targeted".
Thanks for doing an AMA, this is probably one of the few that I've looked forward to as much as I have, and it's amazing and empowering to know that people, and journalists, like you still exist for the common, greater good. Keep doing what you do!
