Government has removed Articles 370 and 35A, which basically stood for rules that Kashmiri people get to decide who is a citizen, and any land of Kashmir could be bought by a Kashmiri citizen only.

The Nuremberg Laws of 1935 got German people to decide who is a citizen, non-citizens were soon stripped of their property, and we all know how well that went. How is this different? Sounds like these Articles are a bad thing, and getting rid of them is a change for good.

I would appreciate a foreigner's view on learning Russian, especially if you can compare learning it to learning other languages.

Yeah, numbers are a bitch. Anything that ends with 1 (but not with 11) is treated as singular (the movie is actually called "101 Dalmatian" in Russian, EDIT: and the book, "1001 Night"). Anything that ends with 2, 3, or 4 (but not 12, 13, or 14) is something in the middle. Everything else is treated like plural.

Hate to say it but I see the division of Ukraine is the only peaceful resolution possible. The north-west will go to the West, and the south-east will either join Russia, or lead a de-facto "independent" life, not unlike South Ossetia, Abkhazia, or Transnistria.

Ukraine is not a nation-state, but rather a two-nation-state. Historically these have not been doing good.

If you want a peaceful resolution, this is what you should be pushing for.
