What's a day-to-day challenge of being part of a big family that most people -- especially the shows like those on TLC -- tend to overlook?

I* would be interested to see what ended up on the cutting room floor of shows like the one you were on. I feel like their sanitization of the whole thing (for lack of a better term; I don't think most people who aren't part of the sect portrayed on the program would find the whole thing healthy) did a disservice to the general public because as you said it hid that dysfunction.
