Why is your head always photoshopped on my body when you do photoshoots?

I had a friend who was a flight attendant and he said that there is a very high proportion of male flight attendants who were gay. Is this true? He actually ended up leaving the job because his fellow gay co-workers made him really feel like an outsider. I'm just curious if there is truth to this. Thanks!
