Do you regret ever starting taking heroin in the first place?

While you were taking the drug, weren't you thinking "What the fuck am I doing, I'm a heroin addict", weren't you scared by that thought?

I think it's public interest. I am sure more people care about Ukraine and Russia than Syria. It's not a pretty thing, but that's how it is.

There's a documentary about it posted /r/Documentaries yesterday I think, it's a good watch.
