I studied music at Leeds University, but dropped out because the composition module only focused on avante garde classical music, and I just couldn't hack it lol. I tried to find something experimental which I didn't dislike, and I've struggled with that.
I wondered what your thoughts are about avante garde classical music, and do you think universities focus on it too much these days? And, do you have any suggestions for something avante garde which you genuinely like?
