What would I do if I weren't me? Something about that question is fundamentally wrong.
It's called advanced directives (living wills). You can set up your own healthcare in advance for situations where you aren't, legally, "yourself" (e.g. in a coma, severely brain damaged, diagnosed with dementia).

Dr. Gupta, having said that, what is your position on physician-assisted suicide? Alternatively, what would you do if you weren't yourself anymore?
