I'm a Greens member and I want to kill that policy so much. Yet to meet a Young Green who supports it.

The Greens' policy page on nuclear energy contains the point "Prohibition of the mining and export of thorium."

Could you please explain why exactly this policy exists? While it's definitely not ready for commercial use, thorium energy (particularly LFTR's) has the potential to be a reliable, clean(er) energy source. When you add the possibility that it could be used to dispose of nuclear waste from uranium reactors, it really seems like something the Greens would support.

Hi Scott. The campaign to get you reelected was amazing and the Greens vote in WA is still massive. Have you seen a similar mood in Vic? What do you think are the Greens' chances on Saturday?

Rise Up Australia are Catch the Fire Ministries, the organisation that said the Victorian Bushfires were God's punishment for legalising abortion and that Cyclone Yasi was caused by the UN using geoengineering technology to attack North Queensland.

They're the only ones who match the CEC for craziness.
