A panniculectomy is where you remove skin and fat that hangs below the natural waist line. Following massive weight loss, my excess skin and some fat hanged to near my knees. I was cut from above my belly button and on my natural waistline, everything in between was removed. I have a very large scar along my waist line, but the rest is smooth and it appears that I have no belly button.
