Hey Phil! I am a big fan from way back, I started listening in Orlando, FL around 1999/2000. I was so happy when I moved back to TN and found you syndicated here as well, then heartbroken when you retired. I have since listened to your new show, and I have a question about that as well. Here we go. 1) I love Ted Bell, he is one of my favorites. What were your inspirations for such an over the top character as Mr. Bell, and what are your favorite bits with him from the old days? I always loved the Shrimp Cocktail bit from 2001! 2) I remember the 2001 Rose Parade webcast, what gave you the idea to try that on the Rose Parade, and why did Harvey Wireman rape EVERYONE? 3) I noticed on your new show, the theme changed from the classic liberal theme to a very conservative theme. What happened in your life to cause this radical change in direction?

Thank you for answering me Phil!
I never changed political views in the wake of 9/11. I believe that all Americans, liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, were hurt by that atrocity. Even being a liberal, I wanted blood for blood and by the gallon after 9/11. My main reason for asking that was the fact that to be honest, the conservative angle of the new show kind of turned me off. With a lot of the things coming out of conservative camps lately, i.e. the Tom Akin rape comments, the hoopla over something as harmless as gay marriage, and many other things, I just couldn't handle any more of the conservative party lines. I still love your brand of comedy though, and will always tout you as the best thing to happen to radio since Stern. I love your craft, I admire your sense of humor, and I think you are an amazing talent. Thank you for all the years of great laughter. I still listen to your classic shows all the time, and they still make me laugh.
