You keep saying criticism might be very harsh. Do you have an example where you analyzed a face completely candidly? I want to know how bad it can get.

This is one of my favorite AMAs. I am also extremely fascinated this stuff because sometimes I dream about leaving everything behind and just going into the woods to get away. I am currently living in Northeastern India (Sikkim) which is a state in the Himalayas. Do you have any advice for me if I decide to go and live in the woods for a while? Information regarding your backpacks, where you carry your money, if you carry your computer, the clothes I should be carrying, if I should carry utensils or other food items, etc would be very helpful. Also, do you recommend any books that would help me with this before I start with my journey? I have read the entire AMA and got lots of pointers but I grew up in a completely urban establishment and have no idea of what I may be getting into. If it gets buried and you don't reply, I might pm you if that is okay with you.

How can third-world countries tackle the water problems that they are facing? Also, water in third-world countries often tends to be unsanitary while the water in the US is treated and safe to drink safe out of the tap. Would it be more cost effective for third-world countries to follow the US model?
