Save your life? Don't be so dramatic. HIV positive people are alive, okay? Of course it's a small price to pay to avoid something that causes so much suffering and is so expensive, but it is impolite to imply that op and other positive people are dead.

Well, if the USA bully all the other countries to have similar agencies as the NSA and similar programs like PRISM, the companies will have no choice but accept the fact that their data is being monitored. I think this is already happening. Even in countries that used to really care about data privacy like Germany.
