Well I'm not op, but in a way it's not disturbing. Because unstressed meat gets less marbled and is in general better quality, happy cows give better meat. This means there's incentive to keep your cows happy and unstressed, especially before slaughter, so humane practices are for the better of your business.
Edit: I'm not saying all farms do this, but all farms aren't out to torture animals either. Farms vary in their practices (ofc I'm using torture as a hyperbole.)
