Ya it definitely wouldn’t be nice. I’m spoiled and fly a helicopter with 3 engines and are rarely in a regime of flight where a single engine failure is even an issue lol

Honestly, I think it’s better to be open and save people’s time. In Canada we don’t have official age limits for jobs like this, but they definitely have unofficial ones.
Also, the limits are valid IMHO... it’s tax dollars to train a controller, and they want to get their money out. If the government was buying equipment, and there were two different widgets they could buy, both cost the same amount, and one would last 10 years and one would last 30, you would be upset if they kept buying the 10 year one.

In Canada we have 5 pin bowling which is almost exclusively string pin. We do have 10 pin but the 5 pin is more common - what’s nice about it is that it’s simple and cheap, so every small town has like a 6 lane 5 pin bowling alley.
I prefer 10 pin but 5 pin is still fun, and it’s nice having it everywhere

An engine loss going slow at that height over trees is definitely something you would walk away from though - you would get a pretty decent cushion out of it and wouldn’t be falling that fast, plus the trees would break your fall pretty nice.

Me too. Trying to figure out the use for underwear worn for "years not hours"...
