Say I was going to be competing on Jeopardy in two months from now. What books/resources would you suggest I look over to prepare?

Hi Matthew, I think the way family is portrayed in Mad Men is interesting. In the show we see family being used an an excuse for characters to do morally questionable stuff. We see the family being portrayed as the bedrock for some characters (Duck Phillips referring to his family as the "wellspring" of his confidence, Ted explaining to Peggy that we would get "lost" without his family.) Don's case is more complicated... I remember the episode at the end where he explains how he was having difficulty feeling a special connection to his kids, but then at times he is hit with an incredible burning love for them. Many say that one of the major tenets of progressivism/liberalism is the the deemphasization of the immediate family, and I suppose more emphasis on the community and friends. I think of the recent episode where Don and Peggy and Pete are eating at the diner and the camera zooms out... they are makeshift family there. Either way, I think Mad Men has an interesting/balanced take on the topic... do you have any insight on the topic that you'd like to share? Thanks!
