Now that most people have diamond rings and such, I feel that diamonds are just a product of marketing. What is the need of commercially buying diamonds?

How does it feel to be part of a trade which promotes slave labour and inhumane condition working for profit? There will obviously be a massive social, geographical and economic distance between you and someone who is actively living in extreme poverty to fund your diamond business, so I doubt that you or your employers will care too much about them.

Are there any measures that you take which improves the conditions of people who are dying for your paycheck?
