I saw you in Japan two months ago and you looked like you were having a great time. My question is: are you being smart with your money so you can live the rest of your life without worries?

Almost half of my Internet searching is for images so I wouldn't consider a search engine until its image search function is in place. Not really a criticism so much as letting you know there are people like me who are ready to give you a chance but not yet

If someone is concerned that GMO doesn't have enough oversight or testing, do you object to them asking that foods be labeled with a tiny GMO symbol so people can opt out for now?

Kanji is an enormous pain but it's ok. You just need to start small. Numbers, dates, simple words (well... simple to draw Kanji anyway). It helps when you start to understand that Kanji are often combinations of other Kanji. Like when you put 日 and 月 together you get 明 which means bright (which it should be since it's both the sun and the moon).

There are also many memorization tricks like making complex picture or in-head video sequences that describe the word and it's reading.

But my top trick that I want to do: I put a dictionary on my phone that can recognize by drawn kanji. I have a Japanese video game I want to play and when I see kanji I don't know, I'll have to draw it (good practice) and then can look it up. If I do this enough, I'll get major practice. Same with reading Manga in Japanese.
