I actually rather enjoy that their attempt at getting free PR while bragging about how great they were being to their employees just blew up in their face. Protip for companies: you should probably actually make sure that your employees like working for you before trying to tell everyone in social media how great you treat your employees.

Yeah, Costco generally doesn't profit particularly heavily on items sold, though this isn't a hard rule so you shouldn't assume that everything is cheaper than other stores. For several years Costco ended up losing a ton of money on actual merchandise because people were abusing their return policies on electronics like laptops and TVs (which they've since changed the return policy on), and basically the membership fees helped to patch all those losses. Most years their overall profits are very similar to their overall membership fees so the fees are indeed where most of the profits really come from.
I just wish most Costco's weren't complete madhouses on the weekends though.

Her illness does not sound like GB at all. It mostly sounds like she got some kind of unclear respiratory illness that caused her to develop ARDS which required ventilator support and the other symptoms that you're thinking represent GB are really just due to being on a ventilator for three weeks (the weakness, etc.). Your body gets weak very rapidly when you're sick and just laying in bed and not even using your own muscles to breathe so the weakness seen in the pictures is what would happen to anybody who got intubated for that period of time. If anything she actually recovered very rapidly because she was an athlete, an older person who isn't in perfect health would have taken much longer. Source: MD who used to work in ICUs

Well, they teach us about what we're supposed to report and not supposed to report as far as what a psych patient tells you and technically you're not supposed to report anything unless several criteria are met. Basically you need to have preventable harm to a clearly identifiable person. Like if someone says "I'm going to murder Mary B. by shooting her in the face" then you have to go alert Mary B. and the police that this person is trying to kill them. If someone tells you that they killed 20 people 10 years ago because they set an apartment building on fire you're not supposed to report them because doing so doesn't prevent harm from happening to someone. And if someone even says "I love murdering people!" you can't report them either since there's no identifiable person at risk and...well...crazy people say a lot of crazy crap. The example here is a little murky to be honest since it hinges on whether you feel that there is harm occurring to the OP by not reporting it. You could probably make the argument that there is ongoing harm to his life (since he's branded a sex offender) if you don't violate confidentiality. It's not explicit harm but still.
