Hey Jon,

I’m a huge fan of your work; thanks for doing another AMA! My question is, my brother is planning on starting his own business (a gym), and while he has some cool ideas, it’s all he has. He hasn’t figured out anything financial, his partner has “bad idea” written all over him, and any time my mom or I try to show any concern over it, he basically tells us to fuck off. We want to see him succeed, but we both know he hasn’t thought it out at all; he just seems to want his own playground. How would you recommend approaching a serious conversation with him?

Thanks for doing this; it's pretty cool. Bouncers get a bad rap from people I know for doing basic parts of their job (e.g. carding) and it has always confused me. Anyways, what's the most dangerous situation you've seen so far?

On the other end of that, what's your favorite part of the job?

I’m unbelievably excited to order Dark Days, and as a writer, I’m curious to know about the process behind it. Was it written out of a need to share the story, or was it more of a cathartic outlet? It’s a bit of a raw question, but have you spoken with Daniel’s family at all about the book?
