Is Mamooty a badass in real life?

I worked at a gas station once. People would come in and cause a ruckus when we told them that their junkfood and cigarretes weren't allowed to be paid for by food stamps. It was just better to give them what they wanted, have them leave and to get on with your 12 hr work day.
