We're going to have to broker a compromise on the chili cheese dog. You can't just come in here and take away the chili cheese dog, even if it's allegedly the technically the healthy thing to do. We need to empanel a blue ribbon commission to study and issue recommendations on how to bring the opposing parties together in an atmosphere of constructive compromise. I don't want to undercut the Commission's work, but what I can see possibly happening is a cap and trade system for chili cheese dogs, wherein the view taken is one of overall community health more so than strictly an individual focus. True, some people will wind up eating more chili cheese dogs than others under such a system, but it will be by choice, and meanwhile overall community health outcomes will improve.

Let's all go buy the stuff for chili cheese dogs tonight at the grocery store and prepare them and really pay attention to what we like about them so we can have a good idea of what's at stake. Those of you in urban environments with street carts, ball parks, or who otherwise have access to snack counters, you might seek yours out there.
