Are you really a lefty, or did you just draw it that way (perhaps unintentionally)

Though I can definitely see where you're coming from, I don't think we should judge what is/isn't a big enough problem for an institute to research. If the topic has interest and funding, why not try to gather information on it? Cyberbullying may not appear to be an important problem to some of us, but the data that the research yields may provide insight in other related topics too.

SOPA and PIPA may be "dead", but their spirit will continue to live on in other bills, won't it? We keep protesting these bills, but new ones can just be brought forward again and again, can't they?
Do you think this will ever stop? If you do, what can we do to move away from sort of... putting out fires after they start to something more like preventing the fires altogether?

kids can't always get away from it.
Could you please elaborate on this? As someone who grew up without online social networks, it has always baffled me why people don't just block or delete their cyber bullies from their Facebook/Twitter/etc. I'm sure it's not as simple as "Hey, turn off the computer and the bullying stops" but why do people choose to keep their cyber bullies on their friends list?

Frequent poster in and moderator of unsavoury subreddits that shone a bad light on Reddit. It's worth noting that (as far as I know) he didn't do anything illegal.
