I was also born without an ear, on my right side. Mine was a birth defect due to Acutane. I am lucky that’s all is wrong with me. Do you know what caused you to be born without one?

Not like knowing changes anything anyways! Good luck on your surgeries, I had about 12 surgeries 15 years ago. My parents were sadly misguided by a doctor that was using me as a lab rat, and now would need many surgeries to reverse what they did to be able to start from scratch.

I have accepted it now and my wife says she loves the uniqueness. Better than many other things people can be born with!
