Hey, fellow scoliosis patient here. Had my third back surgery 3 weeks ago and now I'm also part titanium. Before this I had steel rods attached to my spine, but loose screws and infection made them take everything out and install titanium instead.

I was told to avoid heavy lifting for a few months and contact sports forever. Did your doctor give you any lifetime restrictions?

The first year after my first surgery I told people my scar was because some psycho sliced me open with a machete. Some suckers actually believed it :)

For some reason a lot of people try to guess what kind of accident I must have been in when they ask me what the scar is from. Whoa, that is a big scar. Have you been in some kind of <wild guess> accident or something? It annoys me.
